**Please Note: I AM NOT a doctor or health professional. You must talk to your own doctor for specific information and guidance on this or any medication. I am speaking purely from my experiences. Thank you!** Check out Wikipedia for more info on Spironolactone. Also, this is a prescription med, so please go see your doctor or dermotologist to find out more info and if this is a good option for you. Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org SIDE EFFECTS: I stated in the video that I haven’t really had side affects. I’d like to add that recently I have noted some including thirst/dehydration (so I’m drinking more which causes increased urination), and I’ve learned that it can cause leg cramps. It’s important to monitor your potassium levels on this med.
Hi guys, I know I have 3 other cystic acne videos. The first one I uploaded it on may 26 2009, the second on July 26 2009, the third on June 28 2010. and since it has been a little over a year I decided to upload a fourth video, this one. this is to prove that my cystic acne isnt gone. It comes and goes as it pleases. I went to the dermatologist 2 weeks ago and she said accutane was her only suggestion. I dont want to take accutane, so I went to my family practice dr. He also told me accutane, but he prescribed me other medications just to give it a try before getting accutane. He prescribed me: 1.-Keflex 500mg (antibiotic for 14 days) 2.-Doxycycline 100mg (to take after the antibiotics) 3.-Clindamycin 1% solution (to apply on acne in mornings) 4.-Tretinoin cream 0.05% (to apply on acne at bedtime) 5.-Sprintec (oral contraceptive) The dr. said that I should give this regimen of medicine and cleaning system a try for a month. if I felt that it isnt working that accutane would be my next step. Plus I bought the acne free severe Kit regimen. and the garnier moisture rescue lightweight uv-lotion spf15 to wear under my makeup. I am a stay at home mom so I only go out on the weekends if I feel good. So I dont wear makeup on a daily basis. only when i go out and I never put makeup on my acne. I am hoping for the best because i dont want to take accutane. Disclaimer** these pictures belong to me and this is not a video of advice. this is a video of my medication and stuff i use … Video Rating: 4 / 5
www.acnefreefuture.com – Cystic acne is one of the more severe forms of acne and can cause scarring if efficient cystic acne treatment is not applied. Some doctors may have experience with severe acne and will be able to help, but in most cases patients are referred to dermatologists who know what type of treatment is needed. The cysts formed from this type of acne are large and filled with pus. If they are large, hard spots, then they are called nodules rather than cysts. Either way, this form of acne has a much higher chance of scarring the skin than mild or moderate forms that do not include such large blemishes. Cystic acne treatment is required because the cysts can become infected, especially if they are popped. You never want to pop or squeeze these cysts as that will lead to scarring and probably an infection that needs an antibiotic to heal. It is best to leave the cysts alone and seek treatment from a dermatologist. They will apply one form of treatment or a variety of treatments, depending on their assessment of your skin condition. Treating Active Cysts If your cysts are causing you a lot of pain, a doctor or dermatologist may give you a shot of cortisone. This will reduce the size of the cyst and help with the pain. This is not a cystic acne treatment that makes your problem go away. It is just an option for relieving the immediate pain that comes with severe cystic acne. A medical professional may also choose to prescribe antibiotics to ensure infections do … Video Rating: 5 / 5
